While Nate was at work today, Jacob and I surprised Dad by leaving a message on the toilet paper in the bathroom. As you unroll it, it read "I (heart) you Dad". Jacob was so excited for Dad to come home and find his surprise!

Today we went to see the top of the Foshay Tower in Minneapolis. We could see the new stadium being built, and Jacob recognized the IDS.

Went for a walk at the nature center tonight.

Jacob was playing in the mud box today, and he made me this birthday cake with candles for me!

Swimming lessons.

Today was Jacob's first day of swimming lessons. There are 2 kids in the class, himself and a little girl named Anna. All the way home, Jacob kept talking about how much he liked Anna, and wondering when they could have a play date, and wondering if she liked him too, etc. He seemed to go on and on, considering they only had one 30 minute lesson together in their whole life, and all he has talked about for 2 years now is marrying Kendall! Finally, I asked Jacob what he liked so much about Anna..."Uhhh, I guess I like her swim trunks!" (Today we learned what a swimsuit is!)

Tonight, Jacob got to finish off the carton of ice cream.
