Nate and I went on a cruise to Alaska, and Jacob got to spend the week with grandmas and grandpas. At Grandpa Tom's, he saw a commercial of a little boy telling their mom I love you, and he said, "I wish MY mom was here so I could tell her I love her." While we were in Alaska, we mailed Jacob these pirate pj's.

"I like red...
I like blue AND red...
because you can mix them together and make purple...
and I like purple...
because it's Kristen's favorite color...
and purple reminds me of Kristen...
and I like purple, because I like Kristen...
because purple reminds me of Kristen...
and I like Kristen...
Kristen does fun things!"

Went to the lake this weekend. The first picture is at a scenic overlook we stopped at. On the boat, Jacob likes sticking his feet in the water and kicking. He likes to remind us that there are no sharks in the lake, because sharks live in oceans!

The next door neighbors found this painted turtle in their yard. After Jacob tried to convince us to keep it, we took it to a lake near our house, and Jacob got to let it go.

Jacob really likes going for nature walks lately!

Went for a walk at a new park, and saw a train go by right in front of us. Jacob is very interested in earth worms, but does not want to touch them yet. He always asks if they are the kind with poison in their teeth. I LOVE my little "dandi-flower" picker!!!

Playing in the mud box:

"Dear God,
Please wake me up in time to see the space shuttle launch,
and please take care of anyone who needs your help.
Amen" (05-31-08)

While Nate was in Ireland on business:
"Dear God,
Thank you for my Moostar (stuffed animal),
and please take care of Dad while he's in Idaho.
Amen"

(06-02-08) Jacob wanted froot loops AND dinosaur oatmeal for breakfast.
I told him he could eat one, and then he could have the other:
That doesn't sound like a good rule, because that's 2 goals, and that's too many."

"I know how to do it!...I'm 4! I know how to do really awesome, amazing, cool things!"
