Jacob wanted to pretend he was a cook, and make a special treat for dad to take to Ireland. I let him add whatever he wanted. It was trail mix with marshmellows, nuts, raisins, carrots, and smashed up saltine crackers!

Quotes from Jacob the past few weeks:
Jerett asked Jacob what he would do if he could fly:
"I would knock over water towers, and I would knock over cranes"
Jerett asked why he would do that, and commented on how that might make people sad. Jacob replied,
"I guess that's why I don't fly very often!"

"I'm as hungry as church is long!"

Conversation at dinner:
Nate asked Jacob, "Do you know how trees turn green?"
Jacob replied, "Are you trying to tell me something important?"

Talking to Grandpa Tom at the picnic about the air show the next day:
"Meet me at the biggest aircraft!"

A few weeks ago, Jacob got a birthday card from Irene, a lady at our church. She wrote his name in cursive on the envelope. Today Jacob was writing his name, and made his J different. I asked him what that letter was, and Jacob relpied,
"I made my J the way Irene made it!"

Driving home from Grandma's the Friday of Memorial Day weekend:
"Tomorrow, plus the tomorrow after that, plus the tomorrow after that, is a special holiday!"

"Ya know what I call myself when I am thirsty...A thirsty young man!"

Jacob set up a lemon stand with yellow balls, and was selling lemons. I bought some, and went into the next room. Nate went in and bought some, then Jacob told him:
"Hey old man...tell your old wife to come to the lemon sale!"

This morning, Jacob went to the dentist for a check up. No cavities! In the afternoon, we went to Nate's company picnic with Grandma and Grandpa Tom. Tonight, Jacob had fun playing around with his camera. He learned how to set the timer, and had a lot of fun taking pictures of everything.

This morning, Jacob went out to the back yard to pick some "dandi-flowers" for me for Mother's Day. Today we had a fishing theme day to celebrate opening fishing. Jacob made fish out of construction paper, then attached a clothes pin to a string on a stick and we went fishing. In the afternoon, Jacob wore his magician hat and cape to the store and we got lots of flowers for the patio.

Jacob's preschool class went on a field trip to Kelly Farm yesterday. (Jacob's in the bottom right corner in the third picture...the one with the camera!) He said his favorite part was petting the horse, and riding the school bus. This morning out of the blue, Jacob said, "I'm going to marry Kendall." (A girl in his preschool class.) I asked him how he knew this, and he replied, "Because she told be on the school bus yesterday!"
